The Laconia Democratic Party exists as a local committee authorized by the New Hampshire Democratic Party, and is governed by a set of Bylaws adopted by the local committee in conformity with the Bylaws of the state party.
Our mission is to serve and represent the 2,632 registered Democratic voters in Laconia and their families by supporting candidates, initiatives, legislation, programs, and community endeavors that are consistent with the Democratic Party's state and national platforms.

The Laconia Democratic Party meets at 7:00 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month. On occasion, this schedule may be adjusted to accommodate other events and/or meetings hosted by the county, state or national committees. Any such adjustments, or meeting cancellations will be posted on this web page, and any Democratic Party member who has provided an e-mail address will receive an e-mail notification.

Anyone registered to vote in Laconia as a Democrat is invited to attend and to participate in all meetings of the Laconia Democratic Party. In addition, meetings are open to representatives from the county, state and national committees, to representatives of local, county, state and national candidates, and to those not yet eligible to vote, whether because of age or residency restrictions who intend to register as Democrats upon meeting eligibility requirements.
At meetings that include a campaign appearance by any local, county, state and/or national candidate(s) the general public and the media will be invited to attend during those portions of the meeting devoted to the candidate(s) appearance(s).

Meeting Agendas
The Party Chair will prepare an agenda for each meeting and will transmit via e-mail an advance copy of the agenda to each party member who has provided the Laconia Democratic Party his or her e-mail address. Typically, this advance copy will be sent seven days prior to the scheduled meeting.
Anyone wishing to include an item on the meeting agenda should notify the Party Chair at least ten days prior to the scheduled meeting, preferably by e-mail. This includes any county, state or national committee representative, or any candidate or candidate representative wishing to address the meeting. The success of the Laconia Democratic Party in meeting and supporting the needs of its members requires ongoing communication.
